About the author
Heinrich Wolff is an architect working in Cape Town, with his wife Ilze. Wolff Architects is a design studio concerned with developing an architectural practice of consequence through the mediums of design, advocacy, research and documentation. From 1998 -2012 Wolff was a partner in Noero Wolff Architects. Their work won many awards, most notably the Lubetkin Award in 2006 and has been exhibited widely, including the architectural biennales of Venice (2006 & 2010) and São Paolo (2005 & 2007). In 2007, Wolff won the Daimler Chrysler Award for South African Architecture. He has taught at universities in South Africa and the United States  and has been teaching design, architectural theory and technology at the University of Cape Town since 2001.
