About the author
Francesco Dal Co is Professor of Architecture at the Istituto Universitario di Architettura in Venice and Director of Electa publishers’ architecture fund. A renowned architecture historian and critic, he is the editor of Casabella and has taught amongst others at Yale University and at the Accademia di Architettura dell’Università della Svizzera Italiana. He is the former Director of Architecture for the architecture section of the Venice Biennale and author of many books, including The Modern City, Modern Architecture (with Manfredo Tafuri), Frank O. Gehry. The Complete Works (with Kurt W. Forster), and Figures of Architecture and Thought. German Architecture Culture 1880-1920.
